I’m an Amateur Photographer living in Greystones, Ireland. I’m also an IT Services professional, Husband and father of 3.
I have always been a keen photographer but this moved to another level following the birth of our first girl. Saoirse was born in October 2005 and after 6 months of trying to take lots of pictures of her I started to get really frustrated at how out-dated and slow my 3.1mp Kodak point & shoot camera had become. Despite having some control over the camera’s settings, it just could not keep up with the pace at which my little girl was growing up.
This blog is a kind of open picture book for anyone who wishes to follow it. It’s another method for me to be able to share my passion for photography and to be able to visually document my children as they grow up.
Another reason I take so many images of my children is that my family are spread out between England, France & as far off as New Zealand. It’s a great way for them to see how we are all getting on.
Equipment used:
I use a full frame Canon 5D Mark II and my main lens of choice is the Canon EF 24-70 2.8 L lens. I have a couple of other lenses but most of the time I will use my 24-70.
